The contents of this report clearly shows that any tax applied to the tourism lodging sector of New Jersey

is harmful to businesses and the economy of New Jersey.

 

There is no distinction between the customers of New Jersey Hotel Lodging Owners and the customer of New Jersey Seasonal Rental Owners and Realtors. 

 

Seasonal rentals are offered for rent daily, weekly, monthly, seasonally as are hotels and from the listing below it is clear that the Seasonal Rental Industry is in competition with Motels and Hotels who have the burden of paying Sales and Hotel Occupancy Tax while the Seasonal Rentals do not pay any taxes which give them and unfair advantage.
